'Skyfall' is UK's biggest movie of 2012

Skyfall eclipses Dark Knight Rises to become UK's biggest movie of 2012

Skyfall has become the biggest movie of 2012 in the UK.
Daniel Craig's newest James Bond outing, arriving on the franchise's 50th year, has earned £57 million after 12 days on release.

The total has already eclipsed the £56.2 million earned by The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers' £51.6 million box office haul.
Skyfall has also surpassed the James Bond box office record held by Casino Royale, which achieved a £55.6 million gross in 2006.
007 series producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said of the achievement: "We are thrilled and proud to reach this box office landmark in record time and are delighted that UK audiences continue to enjoy Skyfall."
Skyfall is currently sitting at the top of the UK box office chart and will debut across the US tomorrow (November 9).
