'Evil Dead' remake: Cabin carnage in first teaser trailer - watch

Sam Raimi's upcoming Evil Dead remake has received its first trailer. Jane Levy features as lead character Mia in the reboot of the horror classic, directed by Fede Alvarez and produced by Raimi and original star Bruce Campbell.

The trailer sees a group of five young friends heading to a remote cabin in the woods. However, a curse is placed on them after they read from a mysterious Book of the Dead, leading to extremely violent consequences. Sam Raimi recently described the remake as "gut-wrenching" and "intense". Suburgatory actress Levy has also promised plenty of gore and violent content, but described it as a "beautiful movie".

The Evil Dead will be released in the first quarter of 2013.

'Iron Man 3' trailer premieres - watch

'Iron Man 3' trailer: Robert Downey Jr returns as Tony Stark - video

Iron Man 3 has premiered its first teaser trailer online. Robert Downey Jr reprises his role Tony Stark for the third instalment in the superhero franchise. Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Pepper Potts, while Don Cheadle is back as James Rhodes.

Iron Man 3 also features Sir Ben Kingsley as villain The Mandarin, Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen, James Badge Dale as Eric Savin and Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian.
Marvel Studios recently released the official plot synopsis of the upcoming movie, revealing that this time around Tony Stark will find "his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands".
Paul Bettany, who voices Stark's computer Jarvis, told Digital Spy last week that he has never watched an Iron Man movie.
"I feel like a pirate. This is robbery. I walk in, I say some lines on a piece of paper for two hours, and then they give me a bag of money and I leave and I go about my day," he said.
"I sort of feel guilty, because at least acting can be exhausting, with long hours... but I do nothing! And I've never seen one of them."
Iron Man 3 will debut in cinemas on May 3, 2013.

'Kick-Ass 2' official synopsis released

Kick-Ass 2 has been given an official synopsis by Universal Pictures. The studio's description confirms that
Jeff Wadlow's sequel has dropped the 'Balls to the Wall' subtitle, and will remain true to its comic book source material

"Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010′s irreverent global hit - Kick-Ass 2," reads the synopsis. "After Kick-Ass's (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. "When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) - reborn as The Mother F**ker - only the blade-wielding Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation."

The description goes on to say that Kick-Ass joins forces with a team of superheroes known as Justice Forever, but Hit-Girl is forced to retire when her adoptive parents uncover her secret life as a vigilante."Just as they start to make a real difference on the streets, the world's first super villain, The Mother F**ker, assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl pay for what they did to his dad."But there's only one problem with his scheme - if you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with them all."Kick-Ass 2 is scheduled to be released on June 28, 2013 in the US and on July 19, 2013 in the UK.Watch the trailer for Matthew Vaughn's original Kick-Ass film below:
